Indoor Air Pollution & Human Exposures –
An International Perspective

Dr. Rufus Edwards, UCI

A study performed in a rural residential sector in Mexico provides a basis for evaluating opportunities for green house gas reductions which result in considerable co-benefits in reductions in exposure of women and children to health damaging pollutants.  Field measurements of emissions were measured in Michoacan Mexico and this data will be used to demonstrate how mitigation measures reduced air pollution emissions and how this sector can be included in trading mechanisms.

Dr. Rufus Edwards is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Epidemiology, Department of Medicine at U.C. Irvine.  Dr. Edwards studies environmental health and exposures to environmental pollutants in the U.S. and in other countries.
